The new management of the National Laboratory Network introduced the developmental programs and activities for the network’s new phase of operations.

According to the National Laboratory Network News Agency, Dr. Amir Younesian, the Director of the National Laboratory Network, while extending his congratulations for the Fajr Decade events and the Shabani festivals, announced the network’s new policies aimed at expanding its activities and providing satisfactory services to its audience.

Referring to the network’s two decades of activity in the country, Dr. Younesian stated: “Following the decree of Dr. Hossein Afshian, Vice President for Science, Technology, and the Knowledge-Based Economy under the President, the Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network has been upgraded to the National Laboratory Network.”

The Director of the National Laboratory Network emphasized that the most important policy of the new management is to continue the 20-year legacy of the Laboratory Network in providing ever-improving services to its clientele. He added, “In line with this upgrade, special programs aimed at extensively expanding the specialized scope of the network’s activities and services have been prioritized.”

According to Dr. Younesian, among the special policies and programs of the National Laboratory Network, the following can be mentioned:
-Special support for student centers in the field of technology: This is intended to foster the promotion, education, and laboratory research of students in technological areas.

-Special support for standardization and expanding laboratory service coverage in agriculture: This aims to increase productivity, enhance food safety and the health of agricultural and horticultural products, and reduce the consumption of agricultural inputs in farmland.

-Connecting industry with the services of knowledge-based companies: This includes organizing the provision of specialized services in industrial sectors required by the R&D departments of product-manufacturing companies (such as industrial design services, prototype production, rapid manufacturing, etc.) by leveraging the capacities of knowledge-based companies.

The Director stressed that the Laboratory Network’s efforts in identifying capable and promising laboratories in both the private and public sectors, facilitating access to these capabilities, and its ongoing support for laboratories will continue.

It is noteworthy that the Laboratory Network also supports laboratories by offering training for laboratory staff, assisting with the maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment and reintegrating them into the service cycle, standardizing laboratory processes, and enhancing capabilities—all in order to improve quality and increase the quantity of laboratory services nationwide.

Furthermore, supporting researchers and technologists in gaining access to more affordable laboratory services and expanding laboratory research is being achieved by providing service subsidies through the Laboratory Network’s Customer Club.
